POSITION:
HOUSING SUPPORT ASSISTANT ? YOUTH SERVICE
1 YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT | FULL-TIME POSITION
JOB SUMMARY:
Housing Support Assistants work across our transitional housing units,
and community support services.? Working alongside our Housing
Support Officers, delivering practical and emotional supports to
clients as part of their overall support plan. The successful
candidate will act as a key member of the team, ensuring the
day-to-day safe running of the service, and in helping young people
maximise their housing security, supporting and preparing them for
sustainable move-on and supporting young people to develop and enhance
their independent living skills. This involves delivering a variety of
practical supports, the purpose of which will be to assist young
people in areas such as health and well- being, self-care, personal
administration, personal development and home management, using a
trauma informed approach.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* A Social Care Degree or equivalent relevant qualification
* 2 years? experience working in a similar role
* Have working knowledge of a using a trauma informed approach
* Have a valid and full clean drivers licence & access to own car
for work
* Be self-motivated, and able to motivate and inspire others
* Be computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
